English Test Points for Skilled Visas
If you are interested in a skilled visa, you’ll need to know how many points you can claim. One of the categories you get points in is based on your English test score. We’ve outlined how many points can be claimed depending on the result of your English test.

Free AssessmentYou need a minimum of a ‘Competent’ English test result in order to be eligible to submit an EOI for a skilled visa (subclasses 189, 190 and 491). However, this grants you 0 points, so you’ll need a higher English score to receive any points for this.
